A look back at 2014 - Some of our most favorite moments!!

2014 was an incredible year for us! We feel so humbled by the incredible support, referrals, and relationships received and made.  We are so thankful for each of our clients and it was so fun going back and gathering some of our most favorite moments evaaaaaa from the year!

We had the opportunity to create a bunch of easy and practical tutorials and diy's for a variety of publishings this year. Let's be honest, who doesn't love a style that is quick, easy, and looks like you spent houuuuuuuurs on?! Here were some of our most faves:

We were so honored to have been featured in a variety of print publications and as well online publishings this year, including features in Inside Weddings Magazine Summer and also their Winter Issues, multiple features in Magnolia Rouge as well multiple look-books including one for Minnetonka and a shoot for Free-People

Favorite Wedding Moments

We had some incredible weddings this year, allowing for us to travel all over California, and beyond (like Hawaii!!), and leaving us with some long-time relationships with clients turned friends. It really is hard for us to place into words just how thankful we are for our clients!  Here are some of our most favorite wedding moments of the year...yep, thats a pool!!

Come on now, how rad is this!? They jumped into the pool, and then she wrote us to let us know all her makeup stayed put. LOVE!

We were so inspired by Meredith and her strength. She lost her mom just before her wedding, and to see her genuinely smiling on her wedding day was the most incredible moment to be a part of.

Getting to do the wedding of Studio DIY was like a dream, since she is THE crafty queen, and well - we neeeeeeed that in our lives... plus she loves puns!

Beyond Weddings...

We LOVE weddings, it's what we do... but we were so excited to have some opportunities to work on projects outside of the wedding industry this year as well!

Fox Sessions ... turned The Fox and The Sparrow

This has become such an incredible experience ... we decided to do a one day boudoir pop-up in San Diego, and it has grown and far surpassed any expectation we could ever have dreamt up.

We first shot ourselves so we could have a better understanding of what our clientele would be feeling. We wanted it to be an experience so we had Rachel on photos, Rachael on Flowers, Tori on Styling, and us on Hair/Makeup. It took a lot of arm-twisting admittedly to agree to be in front of the camera , but it was so empowering. And we had no idea the response would be so incredible.

Pop Sugar and Glitter Guide featured us and from there it has turned into a traveling alternative for boudoir. We have traveled all over the U.S. had the opportunity to do an in-store-workshop at The Land of Nod, and have witnessed some incredible transformations of women who were empowered, came in broken and left feeling beautiful, women who were celebrating -new moms, brides-to-be, and women who wanted to do this for themselves, to feel sexy and strong. Every time we leave feeling inspired, and we are so grateful. Can't wait for where 2015 takes us!

We went viral...?!?!?!

We had a chance to do a wedding beyond a wedding... inspired by Disney- well, and like nothing else we have ever done before. We paired up with Traci Hines (a YouTube sensation) and YourCloud Parade ... and well- it hit every major media outlet (BuzzFeed, Eonline, PopSugarHuffington Post, Glamour , and USA Today to name a few)... it was also trending on Facebook and... We. Were. Stunned.

Crawford Denim Campaign

We worked with Crawford Denim , a hand-crafted denim collection on their collaboration with Robert Mondavi Private Selection ... two days in the most remote of locations, basically in Mexico, and the adventure was so.much.fun!

We loved getting to spend four days in Santa Barbara at the the Forbes Five-star Resort Belmond El Encanto for their re-branding. It was so fun staying in their bungalow and working with an incredible crew, including Summer Watkins from Grey Likes who did the styling and Jen Huang Photography.  Fun fact, one of the stunning models from the shoot is now a bride-to-be of ours!!!

Thank you for an incredible 2014. We are so grateful for everything we were able to experience this year, and we can NOT WAIT to see what 2015 is going to bring!

We can't wait to share some of the exciting things we have in store for this next year, including  our new Operations Manager that we are excited for you all to get to know (you guys, she loves puns), and we can't wait to share more about our team individually and as a whole!

*A personal note from owner, Erica, of 10.11:

This has been a year of growth and learning for me. Never did I imagine 10.11 would become what it has - a place of artistic expression for not only myself but my fellow artists. I admire and look up to those I'm honored to have working alongside me; inspiring me everyday. With little expectation of how my business might grow, I ran into a lot of hiccups along the way. I've had to learn that I cannot do this alone and expect to have a healthy work flow, let alone home and family. I am sure–100%–that we lost out on some pretty amazing clients and opportunities this year through our growth. I am so humbled and grateful for those who graciously showed patience and understanding as we worked with our growth (our busiest season yet) and figured out the right decisions to make in order to handle it.

At the beginning of 2014 a dear friend spoke the word "normalcy" over me. I have to say that as hard as 2014 was, it was equally as incredible. I can say that the sweet taste of normalcy in which I now find myself learning (as my family, personally, also lived in 3 locations in 2014) is not taken for granted.  I selfishly write this portion for myself as a reminder of God's grace and promise - but also to encourage all who may be facing seemingly insurmountable times of stress or anxiety - when it feels anything but 'normal.' Be encouraged. You are not alone. You can do this - whatever 'this' may be....Try and be still for a moment, reflect on 2014, and enter 2015 with joy, peace and balance.

Jesi Haack Designs + The Love Riot + Mr. Haack :: 7 Degrees Laguna Beach

I seriously had to remind myself to go back and pick out hair and makeup shots from this wedding, and not just pick out decor because this Metallic Wedding was ridiculously rad! Jesi Haack Designs and The Love Riot could not have been more creative, and Mr. Haack captured all of the elements of this wedding amazingly. Kelly & Peter are such an adorable couple, and we were honored to work with them!
