2011 has been an incredible year. Looking back, we feel so blessed to have been able to work with such incredible vendors, on some amazing projects. We absolutely adored every one of our brides, and we are so thankful for a year that far surpassed any expectations that we had.

Baby Beuk + Coming Soon 2012

Three years ago, today, we promised to walk beside each other, hand in hand through life. We promised to always love, laugh, and share this journey together. Three years later, and after a year and a half of trying to build our family, we are excited to happily announce our soon-to-be tiny addition.

Mother’s Day, 2011, was one of the best moments we have shared as a married couple. Announcing that we are expecting our first baby to our parents, after years of prayers, doctors visits, and not knowing if we could get pregnant at all, was one of the greatest joys we have experienced. We found out that we were expecting the week before mothers day on Cinco De Mayo…

Onnnnnn a side note, I can’t lie- I took the test (because I wanted a Margarita and was playing it safe) and was so shocked to see a positive sign I called Joel and asked him to come home immediately. He was, of course, running an errand for me and was at the store- so naturally I just blurted it out….over the phone. I know,….but I couldn’t keep it in. So, Joel definitely found out while standing in front of the toothpaste at the grocery store- so us…

As soon as we found out we asked our dear friend Amy, from The Wedding Chicks and On To Baby, to make us a Custom Onsie for our moms to open on Mother’s Day. She adorably placed “Coming Soon – 2012″, and joyful, and thankful, tears were had.

We find out the sex of the baby in two weeks, and could not be more excited, blessed, or emotional (okay, maybe that’s just me), than we are.

Thank you to all of our friends and family for all of the prayers and well wishes over the last year and half. Love you all….

Joe + Katie 10 Years Later {Anniversary Shoot}

Love Love Love. Soooo Katie is actually a resident artist with 10.11. Makeup… and what a pleasure it was to have HER sit and be beautified! Granted, we had to make her sit on her hands – it was so hard for her to not be behind the makeup brush and the curling iron for once.

We were so excited to celebrate with Katie as she put her wedding dress back on after TEN YEARS (annnnnd three beautiful daughters) and snuggled up to her husband for some beautiful photos shot by Kenny Grill.

Martha Stewart Weddings + “California Luxe” Photo Shoot

Pinch me times 100! I was honored with the opportunity to work on an amazing shoot for MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS!!! with some incredibly talented vendors!Leila from Be Inspired PR was asked to produce a shoot for Martha Stewart Weddings – Bride’s Guide, based on the Metallic Series in their Fall 2010 issue. She asked 10.11. to come in for Hair and Makeup, and after prolonged moments of squealing, we jumped at the opportunity! Leila created an absolute dream team for this shoot, and it was an honor to be included!

The amazingly beautiful images were captured by the one and only Jose Villa.

Candice + Javan Married

The fact that the World Cup Soccer game was playing on the tv, and every time the US scored a goal my bride got up from the chair and ran around screaming gooooooal, was A-MAZING. Candice is not only incredibly witty and hilarious, she is also as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out.

Preparations took place at the fabulous Pearl Hotel in San Diego… such a cute boutique hotel, and the day was captured by the talented Collin Hughes.

Archie + Sherlene 10 Years Later

Love this story! Archie and Sherlene were married 10 years ago…but it was not what she had always dreamt of having. Fast forward 10 years later, sharing their anniversary with the week of Christmas, Sherlene said she finally felt like a bride as they renewed their vows in front of their children, family, and close friends. The cold December weather and the pouring rain didn’t bother Sherlene one bit as she laughed her way through the morning. Special thanks to Beki Dawn for the beautiful images. Fun fact… both her sister and mother share their anniversaries in the same month!

If you are a photographer, or know a photographer, then you have probably heard of the Shootsac by Jessica Claire - an incredibly functional bag for photographers. We were excited as always to be brought in for hair and makeup for a recent shoot.

The shoot was for a promotional piece featuring their new reusable (adorable) polka dot tote!

Whaaaat a day! Crazy awesome location, check. Adorable models, check. The cutest tees, tanks & totes that you have ever seen, check. Noooot to mention the amazing vendors I was honored to work with! Seriously, I love these photo shoots…. and 10.11. was privileged enough to do hair and makeup for another fabulous shoot with the The Wedding Chicks … to top it off- it was featured on Style Me Pretty!!!

Nick, from Crafthouse Productions, captured the entire day – seriously, the video is soooo stinking cute!

The adorable boutique hotel The Pearl , located in San Diego, was the location for the shoot. It is kind of like if you were to mix modern with retro, and mid-century vintage pieces, and wrap it all up into one fabulously hip place… you get The Pearl. The shoot was styled by the lovely, I’m soooo glad to have her in my life, Amanda (and her fantastical team) from In The Now Weddings and Events. All of the beautiful photos were shot by the darling, and incredibly talented, girls of JoieLaLa …. and all of it was coordinated by, she could model for the shoot herself, Amy from Wedding Chicks…

Jacqueline + Jake In Love

Randomly at Target one day “drawn” to the shoe section, of course, there stood Jacqueline. Noticeably distraught over the fact that someone left only ONE of the shoes in her size that she needed for her big event, I lent a helping hand… I AM a girl, I get shoe woes! Turns out Jacqueline is a fabulous wedding and event designer. What are the chances of that!? Needless to say, we exchanged business cards and have since worked together.

Jacqueline and her husband were never able to get their engagement pictures shot, so they hired the incredibly talented couple that makes up Blue Lily Photo for their two year anniversary (TEN years of being together!!). Jacqueline also need head-shots for her upcoming feature in San Diego Style Weddings Magazine! ….so she hired 10.11. for hair and makeup! …. A little love mixed with a little business and these photos turned out amazingly!
